Guest info goes here

Sometimes members will include material made by a non-member friend in their trib. This has been happening with increasing frequency lately and the Editors came up with these guidelines:
Guests do not get a copy of the issue their work appears in. They get third place dibs on any spare copies that are made.
Members requiring replacements get first priority, after a suitable time period has passed to insure that all members are satisfied with their copies, waitlisters have the opportunity to buy the spare issues.

Guest submissions do not count towards a member's MinAc. While usually of a very high quality, guest material is 'found' material and thus doesn't represent a creative input on the part of the submitting member.

When possible a separate Table of Contents entry is provided for guests, otherwise they are listed in the block above the list proper.

Guest material may not be run. there is no guarantee. As guests are not members the Editors do not know before hand what the quality of their material is, and the guest may not be away of FNC's 'Restricted' rating. Consequently their work is more subject to editorial changes and may be used, pulled out or used for 'blank' pages.

Someone must pay for the printing of guest material. Usually it's paid for by the member submitting the guest's material if they include it as part of their trib. Only if guest material is used to fill a 'blank' page is it 'free.' It would cost just as much to print a blank page anyway.

While some guests are making frequent appearances (even exceeding MinAc in a few cases) they are not always interested in being a committed member. Since they don't receive an FNC, only have access to publishing in FNC through a member and have no guarantee that their material will be run, the editors are generally not concerned with the repeat appearances of guests. The official policy is that if their material is of good quality and makes the APA look better they will be included when available and feasible.
